What material is matte film
2025-07-08
Matte film is a low gloss film formed through special processing, mainly made of polyester (PET) and biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP).
Common materials
PET matte film: Based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as the substrate, the surface is treated with extinction, which has high transparency, low glossiness, and strong mechanical properties. It is suitable for packaging, electronic components, and other fields.
BOPP Matte Film: Made of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) substrate, the surface achieves a matte effect through extinction technology, and has both moisture-proof and scratch resistant functions. It is commonly used for laminating printed materials.
Special type
Part of the matte film will be compounded with EVA adhesive layer on the basis of PET or BOPP to form a double-layer structure, and the matte effect will be achieved through film coating technology. For example, the Dongli Lumirror-S10 model PET matte film (new in 2025) has enhanced its resistance to cold and hot deformation.
